This is something we will discuss during the booking process, and depends on the time of year and what you are looking to get out of the shoot. Newborn shoots are usually done in your home. For family sessions, you have the option of doing an in-home shoot or an outdoor location.  I absolutely love to capture families in their native home environment where the kids are more comfortable. This allows me to tell more of your family’s story: what spaces or objects are important to you, parts of daily routine, etc. Many clients love this option because they wish to capture their home and family as it is now. On the flip side, I definitely love to shoot outdoors when weather permits. There are so many great natural spots and urban walls in every city and we can determine a location together based on our initial conversations. I also work with two studio spaces in town that have both studio lights and natural light set ups.

Lifestyle photography sessions are designed to depict a day in your life doing what you enjoy with the ones you love. Whether you’re going on an adventure or telling a story of a day at home, a photography session like this is sure to be full of emotion and fun.  The greatest part about these sessions is that they are unique to you.  The key to planning your session is to incorporate activities, ways to interact.

BE COMFORTABLE. First of all, wear something that you can move in and feel confident in. If you are changing clothes, I recommend one one more casual set (jeans or shorts) and one more formal look (dresses or dress pants). For multiple people, try coordinating color pallets with only one person having a busy pattern. Accessories (scarves, hats, flowers, toys, books, pets) are all amazing!

What should we wear?

Mini sessions can range from 15-30 min. Family portrait sessions, newborns and senior portraits range from 1-2 hours. How much time you need can depend on things like baby feedings, changes of clothes, and number of people being photographed. Events have a 2 hour minimum.

How long will it take?

No later than 1 month after portrait sessions and events, and no later than 3 months after weddings your images will be posted to an online gallery through PassGallery.com. Most packages come with the right to download your individual images or all of your images from a session in high res (printable) and web size (sharable) files. Many times I can get your images to you sooner, depending on my schedule. Please let me know when you book the session if you need your images by a specific date, and I will try to accommodate you. I love to book after session viewing parties, where we an discuss how to display and print your images.

I DO! I have taught the past 8 years at Episcopal High School. Currently, I am teaching at the Houston Center for Photography again. I love sharing my passion for photography and journalism with others. Please contact me if you are interested in me teaching your home school group. YES! Please take a look at my portfolios on this website. If you see something you like, it can be custom framed for your home. If you like my style, but need something specific for a room or office I can do a custom shoot of images for you to choose from. I also work with digital photographic print textiles!

Can I commission you to create art for my home or business?

YES! I live and work in the central Houston area, but also LOVE to travel. Travel outside of the Houston area will be charged according to your booking contract. Please let me know the location you are wanting, and we can discuss if there will be travel fees. If you are looking outside of Texas or the United States, we have passports and are ready to travel at your request to suit your needs.
